26 killed by flood in Badin

At least 26 people were killed and 2,849 cattle heads perished in Badin district due devastating flash floods that paralyzed its economic life.

The Badin Deputy District Officer Human Resource Dadlo Zuhrani told a group of visiting journalists from Islamabad that a total of 6,395 villages had been inundated. Some 256 relief camps have been established in the district, mostly in government schools, where 74,000 people are being provided food, health care and other facilities, he said.
