Croft set to end playing career

Robert Croft, the Glamorgan offspinner, is expected to confirm his retirement from first-class cricket at the end of the season, after a 23-year career with the county. Glamorgan have sent out notice of an announcement on Croft’s future to be made on Friday afternoon.
The 42-year-old former England spinner, who played in 21 Tests and 50 one-day internationals, has not featured regularly this season, although he did help spin Glamorgan to only their second Championship victory against Gloucestershire at Swansea last month, taking eight wickets in the match.
