Joss Whedon Wouldn’t Include Original ‘Star Wars’ Characters

Joss Whedon rose to the level of nerd god this past summer thanks to his excellent handling of “The Avengers,” and when the future of “Star Wars” was up for grabs for the first time, the hordes pointed to the “Buffy” creator as their ideal — but likely impossible — candidate to direct.
The director told CNN, “I’m as angry as you should be. When I heard [about ‘Star Wars’] I was like, ‘I wonder … no, I really can’t do that.
