Trott doubtful for last ODI with hand injury
Jonathan Trott is doubtful for the final one-day international against South Africa following the hand injury he sustained from Dale Steyn at Lord’s on Sunday although x-rays have ruled out a major facture.
Trott took a blow on his right hand early in his innings of 48 and was in clear pain throughout the rest of his stay in the middle and had two visits from the physio.
An ECB statement said: “X-rays of the hand rule out any major fracture, further medical assessment will be required tomorrow.”
If Trott is ruled out of the Trent Bridge match it will mean a likely recall for Jonny Bairstow…
