He promised not to raise the university fees – or, to be more precise, promised to vote against the idea, and not support it.
But he did anyway – and now university fees are £9000 per year, which means students begin their careers? as slaves to debt. He’s said sorry but – the fees are still there! Just in time for my kids to start uni. Pretty dispiriting
