10 storey building to be completed in 48 hours: Mohali

Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal laid the foundation stone of a 10 storey steel building in Industrial Area Phase-1 Mohali, that would be completed within 48 hours.
Under the supervision of 200 Skilled Technicians and Engineers, using latest factory fabricated technology, India’s first building of its kind.
MD of the construction company said that purpose of this sample building was to showcase new building technology that can expedite the construction work besides saving energy.
He further said that all the components were manufactured in the factory, More than 200 tons of steel with pre- fitted with floors, water supply, wirings, sanitation, air conditioning ducts and everything else. These have been shifted to the actual site for installation.
He maintained that this technology as it unfolded today has vast potential to totally revolutionize the much-needed Infrastructure Technology in the country by rapidly speeding up the construction of Commercial towers, Luxury hotels, High- rise buildings, Hospitals, Educational institutions, Universities and Retail outlets.

He urged the planners, architects, engineers, builders, infrastructure developers, hoteliers to come and see themselves the unique and modern innovative technology is being adopted by the INSTACON.

This construction technic has been approved by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
