And so, the “Star Wars” wheel of confirmation and denial spins on and on.
After Carrie Fisher seemingly decided to say enough is enough with the rumors of returning cast members for the new trilogy and told Palm Beach Illustrated plainly, “Yes,” she was returning, we now have a denial from her people.
Once Fisher’s rep fired back with a “She was joking,” it landed with all the believability of a “jk” at the end of an insulting text. The whole confirmation and then immediate claim of “joking” gives the impression that Fisher was, in fact, telling the truth and didn’t care enough to hide it…
