Balasore: Flood damage estimated at Rs 170 crore

BALASORE: The district administration has sought a total assistance of `170 crore for repair and restoration works in the district.
In its flood damage report, submitted in two phases to the State Government, the administration informed that the district incurred heavy loss in rural development, public works and irrigation sectors.

While after the flood in August, the administration had submitted the damage report seeking an assistance of `29.10 crore, it has now sought financial aid of `141.52 crore after the flood in Subarnarekha and Budhabalanga rivers.
