Is Peter Jackson Directing ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’?
Peter Jackson either concocted a very elaborate April Fools’ prank, or he accidentally revealed some pretty big movie news.
If you watched “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” sneak peek that was revealed yesterday, you might have noticed Jackson fumbling around a bit in his desk. The clever folks over at First Showing honed in on that moment and noticed quite the Easter egg: a script for “Star Wars: Episode VIII” with Jackson’s name on it.
Is Jackson going to be helming the next “Star Wars” movie after J.J. Abrams wraps on “Star Wars: Episode VII”? It doesn’t seem likely, unfortunately….
