First, there was talk, and now we have confirmation. Thanks to a tweet from director Adam McKay, Kristen Wiig has finally been locked in to appear in “Anchorman: The Legend Continues,” due out later this year. Super-duper!

Wiig was long rumored to be playing a love interest to Brick Tamland, Steve Carell’s lovable buffoon of a weather man, and if that’s the case, put us down for $20 on her name being something related to a lamp. We’re calling it now.
