No infra for meter recalibration irks HC – Daily News & Analysis

The Bombay high court on Friday said the state government should have put in place theinfrastructure necessary for recalibration of auto and taxi meters to ensure proper implementation of the fare hike. Proposed by the Hakim Committee, the hike was implemented from October.
A division bench of justices DY Chandrachud and AA Sayyed, on Friday, expressed alarm at the state’s inability to provide the necessary infrastructure because of which the deadline set for recalibration of meters had to be extended.
