Outerbridge to succeed Hemp as Bermuda captain
Steven Outerbridge has been appointed Bermuda captain, following David Hemp’s resignation from the post last month. A middle-order batsman, Outerbridge, 29, has played 23 ODIs.
Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) president Lloyd Fray said the decision to appoint Outerbridge was unanimous. “The executive [committee] unanimously endorsed the appointment of Steven as the captain of our national senior team” Fray said. “Under the captaincy criteria, he was the outstanding candidate and possesses many qualities that we recognise are important for the leader of our senior team.”
