Shinwari resigns as Afghanistan board chief executive

Hamid Shinwari has resigned as the CEO of Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB). His resignation comes days after Omar Zakhilwal stepped down as the ACB chairman due to his commitments as the country’s minister of finance, and the appointment of Shahzada Massoud to take his place.

Shinwari, who was appointed ACB’s chief in 2010, served for two years, with a study leave in Australia in 2011 between his two stints.
