Study: Brain games don’t make you smarter (Christopher Null)
Christopher Null – It sounded like a win-win situation: Persuade growing kids or seniors at risk of dementia to play video games that would challenge their minds and boost their brainpower, in effect making them “smarter.” This idea — backed by some kind of research, at least — led to the creation of the “brain game” genre, with titles like Nintendo’s Brain Age series becoming bestsellers.
